Who is responsible

Mink has no account, no analytics and no tracking.
Your Mac and your iPhone talk only to each other, directly, over Wi-Fi or a USB cable. The connection is TLS-encrypted and protected by the key created when you paired.
Your layouts and settings stay on your Mac. The iPhone app talks only to your Mac.

Mink checks your license with our license server when it starts, and when your subscription renews. It sends only your license key, the app’s name and its version number.
Technically, the request contains your license key and the name of the app asking ("mink"), and the app's version number. Like any internet request, it reveals your IP address. Our license database never stores it; the server's technical request logs at Supabase keep it for [N] days. [CONFIRM Supabase log retention]
The answer is a signed license with an end date, so Mink knows when to check again at the latest. Without a connection it keeps working until that date.
With no key entered, the Mac app makes no internet requests at all.
We store keys only as a hash, plus their last five characters, so we can tell you which key is which.

Purchases are processed by Stripe as merchant of record (the seller). Stripe processes your payment details, billing address and tax information under its own privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy. We never see your card details. Stripe is an independent controller for this data and may process it outside Switzerland and the EU. [LEGAL REVIEW: transfer safeguards]
Stripe tells us your email address, the plan, the status of your purchase or subscription, and Stripe's customer, checkout and subscription IDs.

It runs on Supabase, region EU (Ireland).
It stores: email address, plan, status, end of the paid period, Stripe IDs, and a hash plus the last five characters of each key. No device, usage or IP data.
It is kept as long as your license exists, then for [N] years to handle refunds and support. [LEGAL REVIEW: retention, international transfer safeguards]
Supabase processes this data on our behalf as a processor.
Legal basis: performing the purchase contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in preventing misuse of keys (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Emails with your key and portal links are sent through Resend. Resend processes your email address and the message for delivery. [LEGAL REVIEW: transfer safeguards]

It is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM (Neue Medien Münnich, Germany). The server keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page, browser) for [N] days for security and operation. [CONFIRM ALL-INKL log retention and anonymization]
The site sets no cookies, has no analytics and loads nothing from third parties.
If you pick a language, your browser remembers it on this device (local storage, not a cookie). It is never sent to us.
The forms on the License page send your email address to our license server only when you click.

Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU GDPR, you can ask what we store about you, have it corrected or deleted, object, and receive it in a portable form. Write to hello@getmink.ch.
You may complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or your local EU supervisory authority.
